COAST & COUNTRY TO HOLD JOURNEY TO EXCELLENCE MASTER CLASSES

Coast & Country Housing, one of the largest housing and regeneration companies in the North East, is holding master classes to share its Journey to Excellence expertise with other organisations.

Coast & Country is inviting key stakeholders, business leaders and public sector representatives to the event on June 11.

Since launching a Journey to Excellence initiative, with the aim of establishing itself as one of the best social housing businesses, its success has been demonstrated by the winning of a number of prestigious service accreditations and awards.

These include a National Housing Building Innovation Community Award, Investors in People Silver Standard, Tenant Participation Advisory Service Landlord Accreditation, North East Business Awards Tees Valley Public Sector Organisation of the Year 2009 and Customer Service Excellence.

Coast & Country strongly believes that the expertise it has amassed regarding developing an employee performance focused culture, improving customer service, the impact of an ageing population and stakeholder participation is relevant, and is of interest, to a wide range of organisations, of all sized, in both the public and private sector.

Iain Sim, Coast & Country Chief Executive, said: “Organisations sharing expertise and best practice is an excellent way of helping steer the economic well-being of the region forward.
“Coast & Country’s master classes will deliver lessons and knowledge which are relevant to organisations, from large to small, in a wide range of sectors. The event will also present an ideal networking opportunity for the delegates.”

The master classes will cover:

  • Service Delivery. This session will draw upon the experiences of Coast & Country’s Property Maintenance and Tenant Services in delivering significant service improvement and link in to customer service excellence accreditation.
  • Organisation Development. Here Coast & Country will share its knowledge of shaping the company’s internal processes as it drove its Journey to Excellence forward. Reference will be made to its Investors in People accreditation.
  • Resident Involvement – Coast & Country puts resident involvement at the heart of its business. The advice included in this session could also equate to customer and/or stakeholder involvement.
  • Supporting Independent Living will look at issues affecting an ageing population using Coast & Country’s Homecall service as a case study.

Those signing up for the event will be asked to choose which master class session they would like to attend.

The master classes including an introductory session take place on June 11 starting at 10am at The Wynyard Rooms at Wynyard Business Park, at the junction of the A19 and A689.

Anyone interested in attended should contact Rachel Baker on 01642 771367.
